Don't miss the upcoming 2018 Fall KCET Cinema Series which screens the best of Hollywood, independent and top festival films prior to their release in theaters.

Avid moviegoers have the unique opportunity to preview the most anticipated films of the season and hear a lively post-screening Q&A with the on-screen talent and filmmakers.

Film screenings are held at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM. The screening dates are: August 14, 21, 28, September 4, 11, 25, October 2, and 9. (We are dark the night of 9/18 for the Jewish holiday.)

All series subscriptions must be acquired online starting on July 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Click HERE to get your passes!

AUGUST 14 CRAZY RICH ASIANS WARNER BROS. PICTURES

Based on the acclaimed international bestselling novel by Kevin Kwan, this romantic comedy-drama set in the U.S. and Singapore is directed by Jon M. Chu (Now You See Me 2).  The all-star cast includes Constance Wu (Fresh Off the Boat), Gemma Chan (Humans), Lisa Lu (2012), and Awkwafina (Ocean’s 8, Neighbors 2), with Michelle Yeoh (Star Trek: Discovery, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Ronny Chieng  (The Daily Show), and Ken Jeong (the Hangover films).

An action packed spy thriller from director Chris Weitz (About A Boy, The Golden Compass, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), in which a team of Mossad agents plot a covert operation in search of Holocaust Nazi architect Adolf Eichmann 15 years after World War II.  Eichmann was the Nazi officer who masterminded the transportation logistics that brought millions of innocent Jews to their deaths in concentration camps.

Directed and co-written by Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, The Last of Robin Hood), this historic drama is the story of Gabrielle Sidonie Colette (Keira Knightley), a young woman from a French country village who marries 'Willy' (Dominic West), a charismatic, dominating Parisian. He convinces his much younger wife to write a novel -- to be published under his name, and she turns out a series of phenomenally successful novels which makes them a celebrity couple in bohemian Paris and Willy a well-known writer. When Colette becomes frustrated with the lack of recognition for her work, domestic bliss turns to infidelity and a struggle for creative ownership.

The story centers on the life of a couple (Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde) which leads a multigenerational love story spanning both decades and continents, from the streets of New York to the Spanish countryside, and are all connected by a single event. The film is written and directed by Dan Fogelman (This is Us, Cars, Danny Collins).

In a new take on the 1976 film classic, the film stars four-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook) and multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture. Cooper helms the drama, marking his directorial debut. The cast of also includes Andrew Dice Clay, with Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott.

From first-time writer/director Elizabeth Chomko, the plot centers on a family in crisis. Bridget (Hilary Swank) returns home to Chicago at her brother’s (Michael Shannon) request to deal with her ailing mother, now suffering from Alzheimer’s disease (Blythe Danner) and her father’s (Robert Forster) reluctance to let go of their life together.
