Writer and Director Aaron Sorkin Scheduled to Attend Q&A

"Molly’s Game" is the true story of Molly Bloom (Jessica Chastain), a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknown to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey (Idris Elba), who learned there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led people to believe.

Sorkin stated, "The casting of Jessica and Idris in the two lead roles is any filmmaker's dream come true, they're two of the greatest actors of their generation, paired for the first time, and their chemistry will be electric."

The film also stars Kevin Costner and Michael Cera. "Molly’s Game" will be released in theaters by STXFilms on December 25 after its world premiere earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival. Writer and Director Aaron Sorkin will join KCET Cinema Series and KCET Must See Movies host Pete Hammond for a Q&A immediately following the screening.

Deadline.com is the official media sponsor for the winter season of the KCET Cinema Series. The sold out season began on October 24 and runs through December 12. The film begins at 7 p.m. at the Arclight Sherman Oaks (15301 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403). Nearby parking is available.
