KCET Virutal Cinema Series Preview

Virtual KCET Cinema Series

Launched in May 2020 and hosted by popular film critic Pete Hammond, the Virtual KCET Cinema Series takes place on Eventive, not in a movie theater. It features exclusive screenings of new feature films and documentaries prior to their public theatrical or streaming release, featuring interviews with top filmmakers and award-winning talent.

All you need to attend is a computer, tablet or smart TV to enjoy the screenings, but space is limited!

What is the KCET Cinema Series?

For the past 27 years the KCET Cinema Series has screened the best of Hollywood, independent and festival films prior to their release in theaters. Film fans have the unique opportunity to preview the most anticipated films of the season, and hear from the on-screen talent and filmmakers during the post-screening Q&A.

Most recent films and Q&A talent at the in-person KCET Cinema Series have included: “Ford v Ferrari” with director James Mangold; “Marriage Story” with Laura Dern, writer/director Noah Baumbach, and producer David Heyman; "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" with actor Susan Kelechi Watson and production designer Jade Healy; "Bombshell" with director Jay Roach; "1917" with cinematographer Roger Deakins and composer Thomas Newman; "The Farewell" with writer/director Lulu Wang; “Greta” with Neil Jordan and actor Chloë Grace Moretz; “Crazy Rich Asians” with director Jon M. Chu; “Lady Bird” with Greta Gerwig; “Beirut" with Jon Hamm; "Darkest Hour" with Gary Oldman; “The Wife” with Glenn Close, Jonathan Pryce, and Christian Slater.Don't miss Los Angeles' premiere film series offering audiences the most buzz-worthy films!
