What is the KCET Cinema Series?
For 27 years, KCET has offered exclusive screenings of the best of Hollywood, independent and festival films prior to their release in theaters, through the KCET Cinema Series. Film fans have the rare opportunity to preview the most anticipated films of the season, and then watch or participate in live interview sessions with on-screen talent and filmmakers. Both experiences are hosted by popular film critic Pete Hammond.
In movie theaters and online, the KCET Cinema Series makes available to audiences feature films that tell compelling stories, important and gripping documentaries, and movies that are pure entertainment. In its commitment to education and public service, KCET offers opportunities for voices of creative independent and foreign filmmakers, as well as top names in Hollywood.
