The KCET Cinema Series continues on Tuesday, June 21, at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica with "Captain Fantastic." The film stars Viggo Mortensen as a father raising his children in a remote region and chronicles the massive changes the family faces when they transition into the mainstream world.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with writer/director Matt Ross, who is also known for his actor roles in the TV series "Big Love" and "Silicon Valley." Pete Hammond, host of the KCET Cinema Series, says he acquired "Captain Fantastic" at Cannes. "It's a remarkable kind of dysfunctional family movie. You fall in love with them," he says. "It's different. It's original. Viggo Mortensen is better than he has been in anything."

Sponored by the James and Paula Coburn Foundation and E. Hofert Dailey Trust, the KCET Cinema Series offers audiences the chance to see anticipated films prior to their release dates. The summer season continues on Tuesday nights at the Aero Theatre through August 2.
