The 2016 Summer KCET Cinema Series is just around the corner!  Experience the best of Hollywood and award-winning independent films before they're released in theatres!  The  series runs from June 7 through August 2. Screenings are on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., followed by an exclusive Q&A with the host of the series and nationally recognized film expert Pete Hammond along with the film's talent and filmmakers.

The Summer Series is generously sponsored by the E. Hofert Dailey Trust and the James and Paula Coburn Foundation, and features eight new films along with a classic James Coburn film celebrating the work of a true Hollywood film legend.

The opening night film is "Genius," a 2016 British biographical film. The film follows the story of writer Thomas Wolfe (Jude Law) and his close relationship with famous literary editor Maxwell Perkins (Colin Firth).  The film also stars Nicole Kidman, Laura Linney and Guy Pearce.

The upcoming series will be held at the historic Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.  All reservations have moved to a completely electronic registration process. Reserve a Summer KCET Cinema Series spot here. Limited walk-up passes are available at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on the day of each screening for $25 per pass.
