Fall 2012: NoHo KCET Cinema Series

Have you been enjoying the KCET Cinema Series at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica? Now is your chance to plan ahead and buy your tickets to the Fall Cinema Series at the beautiful Academy of Television Arts & Science in the NoHo Arts district. Explore a different part of town and watch films that are sure to be contenders during award season.

Three films lined up for the Fall NoHo series are "Silver Linings Playbook," directed by David O. Russell and starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro, "Lincoln," the highly anticipated biopic from Steven Spielberg, and "Quartet," a film directed by Dustin Hoffman starring Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon. After the screening of "Quartet," audience members can look forward to an intimate Q&A with Dustin Hoffman.

UPDATE:
Director Joe Wright's "Anna Karenina" has been added to the schedule for the NoHo film series. After the screening, Wright will join host Pete Hammond for a special Q&A.

About the film:

Based on the 1877 novel by Leo Tolstoy and adapted for the big screen by director Joe Wright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard, this epic drama set in 19th century Russian high-society, follows the life of aristocrat Anna Karenina (Keira Knightley) and her life-changing affair with the affluent Count Vronsky (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The film is visually rich with beautiful costumes and cinematography. The film premiered at this year's Toronto Film Festival.

Dates for the Fall series in NoHo are Tuesday, October 23, 30, November 7 (a Wednesday), 13, 20, 27, and December 4, 11, & 18.
