Jean Paul DeJoria Scheduled to Attend with Directors Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell

He is a rainforest conservationist, animal activist and Sea Shepherd crusader…but Jean Paul DeJoria is best known as a co-founder of the Paul Mitchell line of hair products and the Patrón Spirits Company. The latest film from award-winning documentary filmmakers Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell, “Good Fortune” tells the fascinating rag-to-riches story of John Paul DeJoria: entrepreneur, philanthropist and self-made billionaire. Once homeless, he struggled against the odds to achieve success, launching multiple global enterprises, while always supporting his motto, “Success Unshared is Failure.” Jean Paul DeJoria will be in attendance with Directors Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell for a Q&A session with Must See Movies host Pete Hammond immediately following the screening.

“We filmed JP on various adventures for the better part of two years, and it was an amazing, life-changing journey through the worlds of hair, tequila, and philanthropy,” the Tickells recall. “We also spent time at inspirational talks and met some of the fascinating and wonderful people who JP surrounds himself with.”

The summer season of the KCET Cinema Series is generously sponsored by the James and Paula Coburn Foundation. The season began on June 6th and runs through August 1st.
