The KCET Cinema Series concludes its fall season at the historic Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on Monday, October 10 with a screening of "American Pastoral." The adaptation of Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel marks the directorial debut of Ewan McGregor, who stars in the film alongside Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Connelly.

"It has echoes of Patty Hearst," says KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. "It's a very interesting movie about fathers and daughters and family and what keeps us together and what tears us apart."

Following the screening, Hammond will lead a Q&A session with Connelly and producers Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg. The fall season of the KCET Cinema Series has been generously sponsored by the James and Paula Coburn Foundation. Tickets for the screening will be available at the door on the night of the event. Doors open at 6 p.m.
