'Lion,' a Film About a Quest to Find Family, Screens at the KCET Cinema Series Nov. 22

The KCET Cinema Series returns on Tuesday, November 22 to ArcLight Cinemas, Sherman Oaks, with "Lion." Based on Saroo Brierley's memoir, this is the story of a five-year-old boy who gets lost in India and is adopted by an Australian family. As an adult, he uses Google Maps to try to find his family. The film stars Dev Patel, Rooney Mara and Nicole Kidman.

"It's a beautiful movie," says KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. Screenwriter Luke Davies will be on hand for a Q&A session following the screening.

The winter season of the KCET Cinema Series is generously sponsored by the E. Hofert Dailey Trust and runs at ArcLight Cinemas, Sherman Oaks on Tuesdays through December 13. Tickets for this season are sold out.
