The KCET Cinema Series continues its winter season at ArcLight Cinemas, Sherman Oaks with "Nocturnal Animals." The thriller stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. It is directed by Tom Ford, best known for his work as a famed fashion designer. Ford will be at the screening for a Q&A session following the screening.

"He's such a terrific director," says KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. Hammond describes the film as "Alfred Hitchcock meets David Lynch meets Douglas Sirk, those crazy '50s movies, meets any number of film styles. But, he makes it very original. It's violent. It's thrilling. It's suspenseful. It's dramatic."

The winter season of the KCET Cinema Series is generously sponsored by the E. Hofert Dailey Trust. The season began on October 18 and runs through December 13. Tickets for the series are sold out.
