The KCET Cinema Series continues on Tuesday, September 20 with Sweden's biggest locally-produced box office hit, "A Man Called Ove." The film is Sweden's entry for the Academy Awards and is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. Rolf Lassgård stars as a neighborhood curmudgeon whose new neighbors may change his life. "It's a real human story," says KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. Director Hannes Holm will join Hammond for a Q&A session following the screening.

The fall season of the KCET Cinema Series runs weekly at the historic Aero Theatre in Santa Monica through October 10. It is generously sponsored by the James and Paula Coburn Foundation. Individual tickets for screenings are available at the door. For more information, go to kcet.org/arts/cinema_series/
