The KCET Cinema Series continues its summer season this Tuesday at Santa Monica's Aero Theatre. This week's film selection is "Equity."

Starring Anna Gunn of "Breaking Bad" fame, "Equity" is the story of Wall Street deals and career hustle centered around a female protagonist. "It's interesting to see women as the subject of this, as opposed to movies like 'The Big Short' and 'Wolf of Wall Street' that really focus on the male things going on in the financial business and stock market," says KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. "This takes it from a different point of view."

Hammond will lead a Q&A session with Gunn, director Meera Menon and co-star/producer Alysia Reiner. The KCET Cinema Series brings audiences anticipated films prior to their release date. It is sponsored by the James and Paula Coburn Foundation and E. Hofert Dailey Trust.

Equity opens Friday, July 29 in Los Angeles and New York.
