The film series kicked off with a screening of the highly anticipated Steven Spielberg film "Lincoln." After the screening, host Pete Hammond was joined by Oscar-winning production designer Rick Carter, who has previously worked on "Avatar," "Forrest Gump," and Spielberg's "War Horse."

During the informative Q&A Carter talked about how the film is relevant to today's war time politics, Daniel Day-Lewis' acting method, the reasoning behind making the film, taping in Richmond, and the legacy of Abraham Lincoln.
