Q&A immediately following with director Euros Lyn.

Based on the inspiring true story of Dream Alliance, an unlikely race horse bred by small town bartender, Jan Vokes (Toni Collette). With very little money and no experience, Jan convinces her neighbors to chip in their meager earnings to help raise Dream and compete with the racing elites. Their investment pays off as Dream rises through the ranks and becomes a beacon of hope in their struggling community. The film also features an ensemble cast that includes Damian Lewis ("Billions," "Homeland"), Owen Teale ("Game of Thrones"), Nicholas Farrell ("The Crown"), Joanna Page ("Love Actually"), Steffan Rhodri ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows") and more.

Although Collette didn’t know the Dream Alliance story before she got the script, she was immediately taken by Jan and her journey. "The story is so inspirational," she says. "It's about a woman who suddenly wakes up and says: 'I want more meaning in my life.' She makes a very unusual choice in order to do that, but it actually pays off. She’s so focused that not only does it transform her own life, it transforms the entire community."

Immediately following the screening, Deadline's chief film critic Pete Hammond, who can also be seen on KCET's Must See Movies, will moderate a Q&A with director Euros Lyn.

The film screens on Tuesday, May 18 at 7 p.m. PDT. Only $10 per viewing link. Limited space available.
