Breathless action, big ideas and potent storytelling combine as War For the Planet of the Apes pushes the phenomenally successful series into new realms to explore the values that forge a civilization. The film is the threequel to the critically acclaimed Planet of the Apes franchise, directed and co-written by Matt Reeves who also directed Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in 2014.  The storyline continues with the character of Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes, forced into deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. The encounter with the apes and humans puts them into the ultimate confrontation to determine who will be the dominant species on earth. Director Matt Reeves will join "Must See Movies" host Pete Hammond for a Q&A immediately following the screening.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, "War for the Planet of the Apes combines breathtaking special effects and a powerful, poignant narrative to conclude this rebooted trilogy on a powerful -- and truly blockbuster -- note."
