Orlando Mayorquin is a reporter at USA TODAY based in the Inland Empire, where he was born and raised. He has previously reported on racial justice, income inequality, the pandemic and California politics for CalMatters, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times Student Journalism Institute. He is a proud graduate of Cal State Northridge.
