shawndeez jadalizadeh

Born and raised in the heart of the Iranian American diaspora of Los Angeles, shawndeez is author of My Iran: an Iranian-American experience back home. She moved to the Bay Area where she graduated with honors from U.C. Berkeley’s Peace and Conflict Studies program with a concentration in Human Rights. Following her undergraduate education, she spent time studying in and enjoying Turkey, Tunisia, and Iran. shawndeez received her master’s degree in Gender Studies from UCLA and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Gender Studies at UCLA.
