Burbank, Calif. – Apr. 4, 2018 – KCET, the nation’s largest independent public television station, announced today that two beloved British programs are making their way to KCET this May. The new British imports will start with a star-studded adaptation of one of Agatha Christie’s most famous works, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. Set in 1939 as Europe teeters on the brink of war, the story follows 10 strangers with dubious pasts who are lured to an isolated manor on Soldier Island. When members of the party start to mysteriously die, the others realize that a murderer is among them, and self-preservation becomes the only option. This thrilling, three-part series will be broadcast in 60-minute segments each week and features the talents of Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) and Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter). AND THEN THERE WERE NONE premieres on Wed. May 2 at 10 p.m. PT on KCET in Southern California.

Later in May, the devout Roman Catholic priest / amateur sleuth returns for season six of the hit UK Series FATHER BROWN, which originally debuted on KCET in 2013.  Set in the early 1950s in a fictional Cotswold village, Mark Williams stars as the eponymous crime-solving cleric as he solves murder mysteries through spiritual and philosophical thought processes rather than scientific deduction. In the season six premiere, Father Brown attempts to overturn a miscarriage of justice while rehearsing for the Kembleford Christmas pantomime. FATHER BROWN season six premieres on Sun. May 13 at 8 p.m. PT on KCET in Southern California.
