KCETLink Media Group, a leading national independent nonprofit public broadcast and digital network, has added special environmental programming to its summer lineup with EARTH FOCUS PRESENTS; a new Wednesday night series featuring current and relevant documentary films that will premiere under KCET and Link TV’s EARTH FOCUS banner. The lineup offers seven of the most buzzed about current environmental films focused on the ecological responsibility that is shared worldwide, in support of KCET and Link TV’s “Summer of the Environment” initiative. The film lineup kicks off with Leonardo DiCaprio’sThe 11th Hour” which features ongoing dialogues of experts from all over the world on how to change course on improving the earth’s ecosystems, including former Soviet Union Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned scientist Steven Hawking and many more.  The EARTH FOCUS PRESENTS strand of critically acclaimed, award-winning and topical documentary films launches on Wed., July 5 at 10 p.m. PT on KCET in Southern California and on Link TV nationwide (DirecTV 375 and DISH network 9410) at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The documentary offering is part of KCETLink’s EARTH FOCUS franchise, which investigates the state of our planet’s environment and its impact on people around the world and includes the longest-running environmental series on U.S. television.
