including the debut of two specials "Doc Martin & The Legend of the

Cloutie," and "Doc Martin Revealed."

Burbank, CA -

Nov. 27, 2013 -Southern California audiences will get a new dose of their

favorite British dramedy, DOC MARTIN, starring Martin Clunes, when the all-new Season 6 premieres on KCET on

Feb.

6, 2014 at 8 p.m.

  KCET will also

debut several special programs starring the versatile actor leading up to the

big premiere.

One

of the highest-rated regular series on public television in Los Angeles, and

the most popular weekly show on KCET, DOC MARTIN stars Clunes as Doctor Martin

Ellingham, a cranky blood-phobic surgeon-turned-village doctor. His tactless

bedside manner leaves a trail of outraged patients,

angry relatives and frightened dogs behind him in the sleepy village of

Portwenn, England.  His love interest, school headmistress

Louisa Glasson, played by Caroline Catz, continues to grapple with Martin's

abrasive personality as she tries to make sense of their new life together with

baby James Henry.

Fortunately, viewers won't have to wait

until February to get their Clunes fix. Beginning

Dec. 5, 2013, every Thursday night KCET will feature programs starring the

popular British actor starting with a DOC MARTIN Season 5 reboot:

-

WILLIAM AND MARY

is a

charming British romance series that stars Clunes as a bass-playing undertaker

in love with a midwife. Dec. 5-26, 2013 at 8 p.m.

Cornish neighbors, so he attempts to buy Tregunnt Farm some miles away.

-

KCET

will pair the remaining four episodes of DOC MARTIN Season 5
