Los Angeles - Nov. 28, 2011 -KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station serving Southern and Central California, has a prescription for Doc Martin fans who are eagerly awaiting the show's 5th season: a weekly behind-the-scenes look at the highest-rated series.
Beginning Dec. 8, viewers will get the chance to explore the world of the famous doctor and the cast of colorful characters with weekly clips shot exclusively on site in the town of Port Isaac, where the series takes place.

Featuring everything from provocative interviews with the actors to hints of what is in store for the next season, the special 8-minute clips will follow every episode of Doc Martin leading up to the finale of Season Four.

"Southern California audiences have fallen in love with Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes," says Bohdan Zachary, Vice President Broadcasting and Program Development. "These behind-the scenes clips will be medicinal for our viewers and give them dose of their beloved characters, featuring interviews with Clunes and other cast members. The segments offer a preview season 5 of Doc Martin that will air on KCET in Spring 2012."

Doc Martin is one of several British programs that have delivered some of KCET's highest ratings since becoming an independent public television station.  Other distinctive shows from Great Britain on KCET include BBC World News, Rosemary and Thyme, MI5, Prime Suspect, Hustle and a host of royal wedding coverage surrounding the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
