KCET IN LOS ANGELES ADDS "NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT" TO ITS NEWS LINEUP

Will Bring the Leading Unbiased Business News Program

to Nearly Three Million Southern California Area Viewers

MIAMI (December 21, 2011) - Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, Southern California residents can turn to KCET for trusted, credible, unbiased business news - with the popular  NBR "Nightly Business Report", which has delivered timely investment information that helps viewers manage their money and stay abreast of the news that affects their portfolios for more than three decades.

KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station serving Southern and Central California with 2.8 million viewers, will air NBR Monday through Friday live at 3:30 p.m. PST.  With the show, KCET expands its acclaimed news block to 3 ½ hours of daily coverage from top global news partners.

"We are pleased to announce the return of Nightly Business Report to KCET at 3:30 p.m. each weekday and expand our international news block of BBC World News, Al Jazeera English, IBA/Israel News, and NHK/Japan Newsline," said Al Jerome, President & Chief Executive Officer. Launched in January 1979 by the Miami public television station WPBT2, where it was produced as a regional series, NBR immediately gained national interest.  American Public Television distributes the series nationally, and NBR has strong, national carriage by over 90 percent of the nation's public television stations.  The series is co-anchored by Susie Gharib and Tom Hudson.
