Los Angeles - March 11, 2011 - KCET is currently breaking

into its regular programming to deliver NHK's live coverage from Japan and will

be airing an hour long English language NHK special on the earthquake and

tsunami at 3:00 p.m.  KCET's 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. news block will feature

an international perspective on the Japanese disaster, leading off with BBC World News, followed by Al Jazeera English IBA News.  At 8:00 p.m., KCET will

feature a SoCal Connected special, "Disaster

in Japan," and will repeat its special

Bracing

for a Quake

at 9:00 p.m.

The Executive Producer of "Disaster in Japan" is Bret

Marcus. Co-Executive Producer is Justine Schmidt. Anchor is Val Zavala.

"Disaster in Japan" will be available for on-demand viewing

the broadcast.
