KCET Debuts 2nd Episode of Cultural Journalism Series 'Artbound' on Oct. 4 at 9 PM
Burbank, CA - October 2, 2012 - KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, is proud to present the second episode of its groundbreaking transmedia series, Artbound, which explores Southern California's multifaceted art scene and diverse cultural landscape.
Airing Oct. 4 at 9 p.m., this hour-long program will feature the highest-rated articles written by experienced artistic advisors, cultural critics, curators and journalists, representing Southern California's 11 counties, rated by readers and vetted by the Artbound editorial team.
Stories featured in the episode include:
"¢ Tio's Tacos: In the heart of downtown Riverside, owner of restaurant Tio's Tacos', Martin Sanchez, takes recycling to great creative heights--both literal and figurative. From refuse, he created pyramids, whimsical fountains, and a series of giant wire figures, filled with shells, shoes, toys and other cast offs.
