KCET Premieres New Season of British Detective Series 'Foyle's War' on July 7 at 8 p.m.
Burbank, Calif. - June 27, 2013 - The popular British detective series, Foyle's War, set during and shortly after World War II, will return to KCET with new and intriguing episodes. Chronicling Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle's (Michael Kitchen) attempts to apprehend criminals who are taking advantage of the confusion the war has created in England, the new episodes begin Sunday, July 7 at 8 p.m. on KCET.
Set along the South Coast of England in the 1940s, this season of Foyle's War follows DCS Foyle, the straightforward sleuth who fights his own battles on the home front while war rages across Europe. A year has passed since Foyle abruptly resigned from the Hastings Police, and his former colleagues are still struggling to adjust to lie without him.
While Foyle plods away on a writing project, Sergeant Paul Milner (Anthony Howell) is contemplating leaving the force; and Samantha "Sam" Stewart (Honeysuckle Weeks) is at loose ends after having been fired by Foyle's replacement, the irascible DCS Meredith.
