Chapman University President Jim Doti Speaks with the Country's Most Influential Newsmakers

BURBANK AND ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Nov. 4, 2014 -KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, announced it will begin a new season of DIALOGUE WITH DOTI, a monthly talk show from Chapman University profiling today's leaders in business, science, the arts and more. Hosted by Chapman University president, Jim Doti, the award-winning series produced by the university's Panther Productions has featured such diverse guests as author and historian Elie Wiesel, Pico Iyer, Terrence McNally and Leslie Caron.  

Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at 8:30 p.m.: California Scene Paintings & Mark Hilbert

The Hilbert Collection of California Scene Paintings is comprised of more than 500 works, dating from 1918 to 1980, and includes a variety of important artists, such as Millard Sheets, Phil Dike, Mary Blair and many others. These paintings depict ordinary Californians experiencing everyday life. Join Jim Doti as he interviews Mark Hilbert about the collection and plans for its future.

Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at 8:30 p.m.: A Christmas Carol & Hal Landon

For 35 years, South Coast Repertory's production of "A Christmas Carol" has been a tradition of the Southern California holiday season. Join Jim Doti as he interviews the star of "A Christmas Carol," Hal Landon, Jr., and its director, John-David Keller, to talk about this long-running holiday classic.

Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at 8:30 p.m.: Writer T. Jefferson Parker

T. Jefferson Parker is an award-winning mystery writer. Now he's written a literary novel, based in his native Southern California, about two brothers. Jim Doti and T. Jefferson Parker discuss Parker's career and his foray into a new type of writing.
