SOCAL CONNECTED Wins Four including Best Informational Series ARTBOUND and THE MIGRANT KITCHEN Each Garner Two
Burbank, Calif. – July 23, 2017 – KCETLink Media Group, a leading national independent non-profit public broadcast and digital network, which includes both Southern California's KCET public television service as well as the Link TV national satellite network, announced today that it has received 10 awards at the 69th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards presented by the Los Angeles Television Academy. The station's awards include four for its acclaimed news program SOCAL CONNECTED (including Best Informational Series), one for the special election initiative PROPS IN A MINUTE, two for its multi-media arts and culture series ARTBOUND and two for the food series THE MIGRANT KITCHEN, including a win for composer Jose Parody in the category of Creative Technical Crafts – Music Composition. KCET’s Matt Glass, was an Emmy winner for "Most Outstanding Director for Programming.” The 2017 Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy® awards were announced on Saturday, July 22 at the Saban Media Center at the Television Academy in North Hollywood.
