BURBANK, Calif.October 25, 2016 – KCETLink Media Group, the national broadcast and digital media network, has announced that Juan Devis was named Chief Creative Officer, a newly created position. In his new role, Devis will oversee editorial content production and strategy for the organization’s multi-platform presence and continue to report to Michael Riley, President and Chief Executive Officer for KCETLink.

“We are thrilled to elevate Juan to this new post as we continue to position KCETLink as an award-winning content engine for Southern California -- bringing important stories to life and impacting the many communities that we serve,” said Riley. “Juan’s expertise in creating cross-platform, award-winning programming that aligns with our public media mission will allow us to engage new audiences who are consuming content in many different ways, from traditional television episodes to short-form digital series across an ever-evolving digital media landscape.”

“It has been almost a decade since I arrived at KCET to work as a freelance producer for an emerging medium called ’digital,’” said Devis who held the previous title of Senior Vice President of Content Development and Original Productions at KCETLink. “I am excited to accept my new role and responsibility at the station as the Chief Creative Officer. This shift in my responsibilities will allow us to expand on our current capabilities by merging all of our production and creative capacities into one single, cohesive vision for the future of the company.”

As Chief Creative Officer, Devis will manage all production and editorial teams for digital and broadcast, develop creative strategies that define the company’s editorial and artistic vision, and oversee all production and editorial output for the organization’s two services, KCET public media serving six million homes in Southern California, and Link TV, the national satellite network serving the 35 million subscribers of Dish Network and DirecTV.

Devis joined the organization 10 years ago as a freelance producer with the foresight of expanding programming onto the emerging digital web platform. Since then, he’s spearheaded the newly independent company’s multi-platform transformation with award-winning content often produced, collaboratively allowing for a greater exchange of ideas in the production of content.. For more than a decade, Devis has worked with a number of non-profit organizations and media arts institutions in Los Angeles serving as producer, director, educator and board member. Devis is currently board member of Arts for All and was recently appointed to serve in the California Arts Council.
