Burbank, Calif. – Nov. 17, 2017 - KCETLink Media Group, a leading national independent nonprofit public broadcast and digital network, is proud to announce that it has received five nominations for the 10th annual National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards presented by the Los Angeles Press Club. The station's nominations include three for its multi-media arts and culture series ARTBOUND, one for its documentary special TENDING THE WILD and one for its innovative social media Instagram efforts dedicated to the station’s beloved host Huell Howser. The 2017 National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards will be presented on Sunday, December 3 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

In order to promote KCET’s eight-Hour Huell Howser Presidents Day marathon programming stunt, KCET launched an exciting Instagram campaign called “Where's Huell?" resulting in 9 separate videos that were released once a day in the lead up to the stunt, the thumbnails of which revealed a special 3’ x 3’ mosaic image of Huell that showcased a “sea and shore” theme. This image mosaic was also made into a gif for use on Facebook and Twitter

Nys Dambrot has submitted dozens of articles for KCET’s ARTBOUND since 2012 including 2017’s “Desert X – Land Art At The Edge Of The City” which detailed Lita Albuquerque’s sculptural installation hEARTH at the Sunnylands Center & Gardens in Rancho Mirage that ran through April 30.
