KCETLink Receives $1 Million Grant from The Ahmanson Foundation for New Season of 'SoCal Connected'

BURBANK, CA - Jan. 31, 2014 -KCETLink, the national

independent public transmedia organization formed by the merger of KCET and Link Media, has announced that it has received a $1 million grant from

The Ahmanson Foundation for

a new season of KCET's award-winning news series, SoCal Connected.

recognizing the unique value that

SoCal

Connected

brings to our community," said Al Jerome, KCETLink's Chief

Executive Officer.  "We are pleased to

continue to deliver the kind of quality local news coverage to our viewers that

from other newscasts in the region."

Further details about the show's Season 6 staffing and

format will be announced at a later date.
