Los Angeles, Calif., March 8, 2013 - Coming up this week on SoCal Connected, the award-winning news program extends its investigation into the handling of sexual misconduct by priests in L.A.'s Archdiocese. Also, the show considers the consequences of a potential acquisition of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) by The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). And, as part of KCETLink's commitment to Women's History Month, SoCal Connected talks to the director of a new documentary about inspiring young women.

Monday, March 11
Following the success of the ethno-archaeological book "Life at Home in the Twenty-First Century," Val Zavala profiles what the lives of those featured in the book look like and examines how the authors took an archaeological approach to modern 'material culture.'
Next, Madeleine Brand talks with Los Angeles Times' arts reporter, Jori Finkel, about the cultural implications of LACMA's possible acquisition of MOCA in Los Angeles.
Tuesday, March 12
With the world's Catholic leaders convening in Rome to elect a new Pope, CNN's Ben Wedeman examines the latest developments as the conclave gets underway at the Vatican.
Also, Madeleine Brand speaks to Christopher Hawthorne, Los Angeles Times' architecture critic, about fundamental improvements needed for the city's civic architecture and what steps the next mayor should take.
Then, Val Zavala and Madeleine Brand interview Richard E. Robbins, director of the new documentary, "Girl Rising," which features nine girls from around the world who battle various obstacles, including arranged marriages and child slavery, in pursuit of an education.
Wednesday, March 13
Val Zavala discusses Wall Street's record-breaking streak and how it may affect the state's economy with Chris Thornberg, founding partner of Beacon Economics, LLC and one of California's leading economists.
And, Madeleine Brand interviews Aaron Kushner, publisher of the Orange County Register, about his efforts to revitalize the long-standing newspaper while continuing to make it profitable, in a time when more and more people are finding their news online.
Thursday, March 14
Based on audiotapes of recently-released depositions, Vince Gonzales explores how more than 100 priests were reassigned throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after being accused of sexual misconduct in the 1990s.
Next, SoCal Connected's web team introduces a new online tool to track exactly where those priests were moved.
Finally, Val Zavala and Madeleine Brand respond to viewers' comments.
