KCET.ORG LAUNCHES

'REWIRE' TRACKING

RENEWABLE ENERGY IN

CALIFORNIA

Burbank, CA

- August 2, 2012 - KCET, the nation's largest independent public television

station serving Southern and Central California, has announced KCET.org's

latest venture, ReWire, a blog dedicated to providing in-depth coverage on

renewable energy in California at www.kcet.org/rewire.

ReWire's main author Chris Clarke, a veteran

environmental journalist and nature writer with decades of experience covering

the California environment, shares the latest news concerning all aspects of

renewable energy. From the effects of wind power development on wild birds and bats to technological developments,

like a Ventura County firm's colored solar panels

or UCLA's transparent photovoltaic cells ReWire

posts offer insight from leaders and employees in the energy industry as well

as environmental groups, government workers, and consumers.

In

addition, visitors can learn about all renewable energy topics with

"explainers", which provide definitions of frequently used terms such as "geothermal", "base load and peaking power", and

"the grid."

Go to news/rewirewww.kcet.org/

for more information and "like" the ReWire Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/kcetrewire.
