Burbank, CA - April 10, 2014 - KCET's

award-winning transmedia arts and culture series, ARTBOUND, presents an hour-long special featuring short, vibrant

videos from MOCAtv, the art video channel developed as a

digital extension of the education and exhibition programming of The Museum of

Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA). The series premieres on KCET on April 17

at 9 p.m. The series presented by MOCAtv Creative Director Emma Reeves premieres on KCET on April 17 at 9 p.m.

Featuring

an eclectic mix of videos profiling brilliant artworks like Barry Le Va's

"Shatterscatter" and prolific artists such as Sterling Ruby, Nan Goldin and Fatima Al Qadiri,

ARTBOUND

PRESENTS MOCAtv

, will showcase a series of original short videos

designed to engage a global audience with contemporary art and its intersection

with film, video, music, performance, dance, comedy and more.

MOCAtv is MOCA's official YouTube channel

with over 6.7 million views and more than 160,000 subscribers, and the winner

of a Webby Award in 2013. MOCAtv presents distinctive programming strands,

including Art + Comedy,

Artist Video Projects, The Artist's Studio,

Art in The Streets, Art + Music, MOCA U,

that explore the confluence of art and related creative disciplines and

cultural developments, in addition to exclusive content created in conjunction

with MOCA exhibitions.
