KCETLink Media Group Honored with 14 Recognitions in Total Including Arts and Culture Series ARTBOUND and Acclaimed News Magazine Series SOCAL CONNECTED

Burbank, Calif. – June 26, 2017 - KCETLink Media Group, a leading national independent nonprofit public broadcast and digital network, is proud to announce that it has received three wins for its news magazine series SOCAL CONNECTED during last night’s 59th annual Southern California Journalism Awards presented by the Los Angeles Press Club. The station's first, second and third place recognitions include its acclaimed news program SOCAL CONNECTED and KCET’s multi-media arts and culture series ARTBOUND. The KCET special election initiative, “Props in a Minute” also received recognition in the category of Best Political/Government Reporting. The 2017 Southern California Journalism Awards were presented on Sunday, June 25 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
