NHK NEWSLINE Joins Link TV’s International News Lineup Featuring Anchor Miki Yamamoto Starting Jan. 8

Burbank, Calif.Dec. 28, 2017 Link TV, a national independent public satellite television network, announced today the addition of NHK’s flagship news program NHK NEWSLINE launching on the network in January anchored by Miki Yamamoto. NHK NEWSLINE premieres Mon., Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT Mon.-Thurs. on Link TV available nationwide (DirecTV 375 and DISH network 9410).

Adding to Link TV’s international news lineup, NHK NEWSLINE delivers the latest news, business and weather with stories from Japan, the rest of Asia and around the world. The 30-minute news show airing Monday through Thursday on Link TV features a wide network of correspondents from around the world covering breaking news and developing stories while offering a perspective from the eastern corner of the globe.

Miki Yamamoto’s tenure with NHK began in 1992 at NHK Tokyo. As an anchor, she has hosted an array of NHK’s domestic news and educational programs for many years. She was posted in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo during these years.  

This program is an example of new dynamic content being offered on Link TV with a goal of better understanding our world through global perspectives.
