Anchors Link TV’s Scripted Drama Lineup on Mondays
Burbank Calif. – July 18, 2018 – Link TV, the national independent non-commercial satellite television network, announced today the exclusive U.S. premiere of Denmark’s scripted drama FOLLOW THE MONEY (from the producers of BORGEN, which aired on Link TV from 2012 to 2015, and the original version of The Killing), which explores corruption and politics in the pursuit of wealth. The series takes viewers into the world of economic crime in the banks, on the stock exchanges and in the boardrooms to tell the story of speculators, swindlers, corporate moguls and the crimes they commit in their hunt for wealth. FOLLOW THE MONEY premieres Mon., Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Link TV nationwide and is available to all subscribers of DirecTV (Channel 375) and DISH network (Channel 9410).
Viewers can also stream all episodes for 30 days after they debut at linktv.org/followthemoney. In the series opener, a body is found near an off-shore wind farm. The detective assigned to investigate the death soon finds himself in conflict with executives of the energy company that own the facility.
Link TV acquired the rights to telecast all 20 of the previously produced episodes from the first two seasons of the 60-minute series. FOLLOW THE MONEY (originally titled BEDRAG) was previously seen on BBC in the U.K. A third season is currently in production in Denmark.
FOLLOW THE MONEY will be part of a newly redesigned Monday night schedule that will broadcast alongside new episodes of GRAND HOTEL (now airing at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Mondays) from Spain and the critically acclaimed PRISONERS OF WAR (the series upon which Homeland is based) about Israeli POWs, which continues to intrigue audiences.
*KCET is expected to merge with PBS SoCal, subject to regulatory approvals, by mid-2018.
