'SoCal Connected' Looks at Rampant Mislabeling of Fish and What Consumers Can Do To Choose Seafood Wisely
,
KCET's Emmy and Peabody Award winning series, examines the problem ofmislabeled seafood in the segment "Fishing for the Truth." When is tuna fish
not really tuna fish? One conservation group found more than half of the fish
sold in Southern California is incorrectly labeled. SOCAL CONNECTED's
science journalist Cara Santa Maria visited the historic Dory Fleet Fish Market
to find out how to determine what you're getting when you buy fish. The
story airs on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 8 p.m.
