Freewaves is dedicated to the creative exhibition of the most innovative and culturally relevant independent new media art from around the world.

New media currently encompasses works using video, film and web. Freewaves facilitates cross-cultural dialogues by inventing dynamic new media exhibition forms at established and unconventional venues in Los Angeles, on TV and on-line. The organization is building a large online archive and web site of new media resources, while extending its reach to more artists and audiences through L.A. buses.
