Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre

Since the late 1980s, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre (HDDT) has been placing art in unexpected places. By creating work outside of a traditional theatre, HDDT not only brings attention to the historical, architecturally significant, and unique spaces the company performs in, but also constantly engages new communities and populations. Through this creation of site-specific work, HDDT expands the performing arts field as whole and provides a fresh, enticing option to traditional visual art, dance, and performance.

Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre (HDDT) creates ephemeral contemporary art experiences in extraordinary places that boldly redefine the relationship between audience and art. Through cultivating innovative collaborations with artists, arts organizations and local communities, HDDT brings meaningful interdisciplinary dance to new audiences throughout Los Angeles and the world.
