IMF Managing Director on Global Economic Recovery
A new report from the International Monetary Fund projects global economic growth at 5.5% for the year. But this is far from certain, particularly if vaccines fail to keep up with new COVID variants. Moreover, the recovery is expected primarily to benefit the wealthy, marginalizing the poor and ignoring the issue of income inequality.
