More than twenty years in the making, "Vireo: The Spiritual Biography of a Witch’s Accuser" is a twelve-part opera made for a streaming audience. By taking the opera outside of its usual location and production limitations, "Vireo" has shaken up the opera world and invites a new audience into the rich legacy of the art form. Now, take home that experience in a newly re-mastered score. "The CD/DVD is actually like brand new 'Vireo,'" says Bielawa, who is now working on a hybrid film and live experience of "Vireo" at the New School's Philip Glass Institute in New York City.
