Annenberg Space for Photography: Extreme Exposure
Some photographers travel to remote environments across the globe, only a few will ever experience. Some photographers expose themselves to furious atmospheric conditions for the right snapshot. Such is the case for the five photographers profiled in this episode of "Artbound." In partnership with Annenberg Space for Photography, "Extreme Exposure" showcases the work of Clyde Butcher; Michael Nichols; Paul Nicklen Stephen James and Donna O'Meara.
Showcasing:
- Swamplands captured by Clyde Butcher using a bold interplay of shadow and light;
- Lush jungle photography by Michael “Nick” Nichols that brings the audience nearly face- to-face with tigers and gorillas;
- Paul Nicklen’s transfixing photos of the alien landscapes found in polar regions and the rare animals inhabiting these isolated environments; and
- Donna and Stephen James O’Meara’s vibrant photos of erupting volcanoes and dancing molten lava.
