Metralleta de Oro is joining the cultural revolution of cumbia reappropriation dubbed "Nueva Cumbia" which is enjoyed by alternative-minded young adults who are embracing their culture's time-honored genre of soul. Visual artist, Jaime "Germs" Zacarias takes inspiration from religious iconography, lucha libre, and the city of Los Angeles to create his signature tentacle-filled works. Southern Californians live in the epicenter of much of what's happening in video games today and Eddo Stern is one of the leading forces shaping gaming's future and Artbound goes gaming with the visionary artist. Poor diet and lack of physical activity in Boyle Heights are made possible by barriers to health in the L.A. neighborhood. Public Matters is looking to change LA's food deserts through their "Market Makeovers." Featuring a live performance by the Grammy award winning band La Santa Cecilia.
