Take a Walk on the Wild (Edibles) Side

In this episode, produced by University of California's Global Food Initiative, Mark Bittman goes on a foraging excursion through the streets of Oakland with UC Berkeley researchers Philip Stark and Tom Carlson. They're regulars to urban foraging and want to increase awareness about wild edibles. Mark also visits Bob Cannard, a farmer who cultivates edible weeds for restaurants like Chez Panisse in Berkeley.
