The Floating Farm featuring Chef Jeremiah Langhorne

The bounty of the mid-Atlantic region holds countless treasures for famed chef Jeremiah Langhorne who grew up fishing and foraging the riches of the Chesapeake Bay. Today his Michelin-starred restaurant is a showcase for the region. On the Bay Chef Langhorne literally jumps in to discover "the best oyster of the region." On the water with some unconventional watermen, he helps them grow and harvest oysters in a method that locals decry as "insane, but maybe just crazy enough to work." Cooking on a giant open fire, Chef Langhorne creates a sumptuous but simple grilled oyster dish, makes a unique mignonette, and demonstrates the quirky "local" method for shucking oysters.
