El Rio de Los Angeles State Park | KCET
Title
El Rio de Los Angeles State Park
For many, El Río De Los Angeles State Park is the crown jewel in the struggle to revitalize the river. Thanks to a group of community activists consisting of environmentalists, politicians and residents led by Raul Macias and Robert Garcia, the park is now a reality. Despite conflicting viewpoints about what the park should be, this coalition managed to move beyond political differences and create a multi-purpose green space with soccer fields, baseball diamonds and natural habitats. El Río De Los Angeles State Park offers a little something for every one.
Above are several audio recordings of community leader activist Raul Marcias discussing in both English and Spanish the significance of El Rio de Los Angeles State Park to the city.
