Departures is currently researching for an in-depth exploration of South Robertson. To help shape our narrative, we invite you to share your stories, memories, and places of interest that you associate with the neighborhood.

South Robertson (SORO for short, also known as Pico-Robertson, Beverlywood, Beverly Hills Adjacent, etc.) is an area drawn together from several diverse neighborhoods that emerged organically as Los Angeles grew. New developments sprung up to the west, and as Hollywood became an industry, employees of neighboring studios created a community of like-minded folks in the area.

Today, SORO is a community of intersecting faiths, cultures, and neighborhood borders. Businesses for all matter of needs, from bagels to medicinal marijuana, supply the residents and visitors on SORO's larger throughways, from Pico Boulevard, Robertson Boulevard, to La Cienega Boulevard.

As we begin exploring South Robertson, we're mapping the important places that reflect the shifts and characteristics of the community. And here's where you come in.

Using the form below, send us any story or ideas that may help tell the story of South Robertson. Which places in the area are important to you, and why? Do you have any stories that relate to the neighborhood? Your contribution will help to enrich this upcoming installment of Departures!

To give you ideas to get you started, we've mapped a few locations that help shape our developing SORO narrative. Click on an icon in the map above to learn more, and don't forget to share your own story via the form below.
