Don't miss a minute of Huell as he criss-crosses this fine state of ours. This week he jumps in William Randolph Hearst's Neptune Pool, eats lunch among the redwoods at the historic Clifton's Cafeteria, and ventures north to the out-of-commission Alameda Naval Air Station. (For more information on these and other episodes - as well as a chance to purchase them - you can always visit Huell at www.calgold.com).

Thursday - October 15, 2009; 7:30pm: Neptune Pool - Huell gets a behind the scenes tour and takes the “swim of a lifetime” in the Neptune Pool at Hearst Castle which is arguably one of the most spectacular pools in the world

Related: A short tour of Hearst Castle to get you ready for Huell's big dip in the estate's Greco-Roman style swimming pool.

Friday - October 16, 2009; 7:30pm: Alameda - Huell checks out the sites in the Northern California city of Alameda, including the currently decommissioned United States Naval Air Station.

Related: Shots of what was once a thriving Navy base, and is now a collection of abandoned runways and buildings.

Sunday - Oct. 18, 2009; 7:30pm: Survivors - Huell visits The Apple Pan in West L.A. and Clifton’s Cafeteria in Downtown L.A. These two Los Angeles restaurants have not only survived, but have become iconic without having to cut corners or compromise their standards.

Monday - October 19, 2009; 7:00pm: Koi Farm - Huell visits a Koi Farm and is amazed to see everything that goes into raising these beautiful fish.

Related: Koi aren't shy. Hold out some food and they'll eat right from your hand. Hope Huell's fingers don't have any run-ins with ill-intentioned koi at the Barstow Koi Farm.

Tuesday - October 20, 2009; 7:00pm: Surprises - Huell finds a wonderful French restaurant off an alley on 7th Street and also visits the newly restored Cole's - the other home of the French Dip!
Related: A couple record a play-by-play of a Cole's bartender making a classic drink with style. French dip and alcohol, could this place get any better?

Wednesday - October 21, 2009; 7:00pm: Tampico Spice - Huell visits Tampico Spice Company and sees how the spices are ground, sifted and mixed into aromatic blends. He also learns the history of this local institution which has been run by the Martinez family since 1947.
