You just can't keep a good man down. This week, Huell walks the Capitol steps, treats his ears to some ringing bells, feasts on some good ol' fashion Basque cooking and more, (For more information on these and other episodes - as well as a chance to purchase them - you can always visit Huell at www.calgold.com.)

Thursday - December 3, 2009; 7:30pm: Tap Water: The Drink of Choice - Huell visits three places in California to see first hand why California tap water is the best in the country. Huell’s first stop is Chez Panisse, a five-star restaurant in Berkeley, next, Huell stops by Los Vaqueros Reservoir, a water quality facility near Brentwood and finally Huell tours the sophisticated treatment facilities at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, where cutting-edge techniques are used to treat water from the California and Los Angeles aqueducts.

Related: Huell isn't the only one who thinks tap water is pretty rad:

Friday - Decmeber 4, 2009; 7:30pm: Capitol Steps - Huell goes straight to the TOP! Finished in 1874, California’s Capitol Building is a stunning neoclassical gem. With all great buildings of this size, there are lots of steps. Some steps are very obvious, like the set that leads up to the front entrance, but this building has lots of “step” stories and even a few that are very scary to climb..

Related: We'll let Huell cover the stairs and give you a taste of the building's exterior. Here's an amazing time-lapse film of a sunrise over the California State Capitol (A big thank you to the person who hung around pre-dawn in order to capture this footage):

Monday - December 7; 7:30pm: Bells - Huell’s off to the Handbell Ringers conference to hear, see and touch bells from around the world.

Related: A musician performs Prelude II of Matthias Vanden Gheyn on a Carillon, an instrument consisting of 23 bells which are activated by a keyboard-like apparatus called a "baton". The musician is playing the Carillon that is housed in the Saint-Rombouts Tower in Mechelen in Belgium:

Tuesday - December 8, 2009; 7:30pm: Noriega's - Huell's off to Noriega’s Basque Restaurant in Bakersfield where he not only enjoys an amazing meal, but he is treated to wonderful stories aboutthe Basque culture in the area.

Related: Prep for tonight's show by traveling to Basque Country where cooking is a testosterone-filled activity:

Wednesday - December 9, 2009; 7:00pm: California Zephyr - Huell revisits the California Zephyr, a magnificent train which traveled between Chicago and Oakland from 1949 to 1970. Huell climbs aboard one of the original restored silver "Vista-Dome" cars and travels through some of the most spectacular scenery in the state, heading west from Lake Tahoe. Huell shares the ride with a group of people who worked on and rode the original Zephyr.

Related: Fantastic footage from the Zephyr's last run in 1970:
