Hosted by LA Phil Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, experience world-class artistry from one of the world's most beloved musical venues.
For almost a century, the Hollywood Bowl has been the place where beautiful genre-bending music is made and shared with everyone from all walks of life, which is why it has garnered such a following from Angelenos summer after summer.
The six-episode series offers highlights from the best performances at the Hollywood Bowl in the last 10 years. Starting January 15, dive into the love affair between Hollywood and Broadway in “Musicals and Movies” episode celebrating classic songs from Broadway musicals and classic cinema. “Hecho en México” pay tribute to L.A.’s Mexican and Mexican American roots with artists Rodrigo y Gabriela and Natalia Lafourcade. "Jazz at the Hollywood Bowl” celebrates the Hollywood Bowl’s trademark jazz series with performances by Kamasi Washington and supergroup Mega Nova jams, featuring heavy-hitters Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Wayne Shorter, Marcus Miller and Cindy Blackman Santana. In Watch some of host Gustavo Dudamel’s favorite orchestral performances from throughout the years, and hear past performers take us through their memorable Hollywood Bowl moments in “Gustavo and Friends.” Immerse yourself in a Pan-American musical journey in “Música Sin Fronteras” and hear Colombian singer-actor Carlos Vives, Mexican rock band Café Tacvba and Venezuelan flamenco artist Siudy Garrido perform. In the grand finale, “Fireworks!” we bring the party home to you with Katy Perry, Pink Martini and John Williams conducting the orchestra in his iconic music from “Star Wars.”
